COATED STEEL PRODUCTS AVAILABLE (Mill Orders Only):
Our products are mainly cold rolled, available in coatings, hot-dipped galvanized or galvannealed, and are suitable for a broad range of applications. They are suitable for surface applications but could be susceptible to fluting. These products may be specified as extra smooth to impart resistance to fluting and to minimize the presence of cosmetic defects. In addition, our galvanized and galvannealed material are spangle free.
NOTES: Less than Mill quantities are subject to inquiries. Other alloys, tempers and coatings may be available upon inquiry.
Why Manufacturers Specify Coated Steel
- Built-in corrosion resistance that extends product life in challenging environments.
- Sacrificial protection with zinc-based coatings that shield underlying steel.
- Improved surface appearance for consumer-facing products and paint adhesion.
- Heat and thermal reflectivity from aluminized coatings in high-temperature applications.
- Cost-effectiveness by providing stainless-like protection without the full cost of stainless alloys.
- Versatility that retains the formability and strength of carbon steel for downstream fabrication.

Frequently Asked Questions
What coating types do you provide?
We supply galvanized, galvannealed, aluminized, and pre-painted steels across multiple grades and coating weights. Common coating designations include G30, G60, G90, A40, and A60.
What coating weights and surface finishes are available?
We can meet standard coating weights and finishes for each product family. Share your specifications—such as G-, AZ-, or Type 1/2 aluminized—and we’ll confirm the available options and lead times.
Can you slit coated coils without edge flake or paint pick-off?
Yes. Our precision slitting and edge-conditioning processes are specifically tuned for coated materials. We also offer oscillate or ribbon-wound packaging and protective wraps to preserve surface integrity.
What coil IDs/ODs and cores do you handle?
We support common coil IDs ranging from 6–20 inches and can handle large ODs. Standard cores are available, and we tailor packaging to meet your line and equipment requirements.
Do you provide documentation and compliance?
Yes. Every shipment includes mill test reports (MTRs), ISO 9001 documentation, and RoHS, REACH, and Proposition 65 compliance statements for full traceability and assurance.
What are your minimum order quantities, and do you offer stocking or JIT programs?
Typical minimums start around 25 pounds per size. We also support stocking and just-in-time (JIT) release scheduling for customers with ongoing production needs.
How are surcharges handled?
Industry alloy/scrap surcharges (where applicable) are quoted at order entry and follow current market postings.
